Tien P. Wong, M.D.
Dr. Tien Wong grew up in southwest Houston and graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. After graduating with honors from Baylor College of Medicine, he completed his ophthalmology residency, medical retina training, vitreoretinal fellowship, and ocular oncology fellowship at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Following completion of his training, Dr. Wong was a staff vitreoretinal surgeon at the Wills Eye Hospital for four years before returning to Houston to join VRC. His clinical and research interests include ocular tumors, complex vitrectomy surgery, and computerized medical databases. Dr. Wong serves as an associate examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.
