Rosa Y. Kim, M.D.
Dr. Rosa Kim graduated valedictorian of Baton Rouge Magnet High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and received her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Louisiana State University. She graduated from Stanford University of Medicine, where she was a Stanford Medical School Scholar. She completed both her ophthalmology residence and two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at Harvard Medical School at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Kim was chosen among candidates nationwide to receive the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship Award, as well as the Hermann Knapp Fellowship Award, during her vitreoretinal surgical training in Boston. In 2004, Dr. Kim was elected into the prestigious Retina Society. Her research on age-related macular degeneration, photodynamic therapy, and ocular oncology has resulted in over twenty published scientific papers and abstracts.
